I would love for someone to give me the best place to look for desert roses. I am an avid collector here in the east but have not gone out west and am very excited to find something different. Can anyone give me any suggestions of a great place to find desert roses, chalcedony roses, fire agate or petrified wood. For your information I would gladly send you some minerals from my area. It weighed 103lbs but a 10lb piece broke off of it so now it weighs 93lbs. But its still an amazing rock. If you'd like to see pictures, email me @ msbuffy7@gmail.com and Id be happy to send them. Im also looking for someone who might be interested in buying it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580629844893014592.post-32655194485720766692013-09-20T03:04:23.817-06:002013-09-20T03:04:23.817-06:00Hi Mike, This is an awesome article. The smallest is about golf ball sized and the largest is about softball sized. I have been looking every where for information about them, if they are worth any thing and how they are formed. Thank you for the great work. I wonder do people collect these? I really think they are nice and would like to get them from all over the planet. =)

Have an awesome day
Eva B Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580629844893014592.post-36509278397775174172013-07-24T18:46:30.972-06:002013-07-24T18:46:30.972-06:00Hello Anonymous. ,glad you liked the post. The rose in Oklahoma, perhaps the best known collecting locality, are about the size of a golf ball---same as the Arizona roses. Have you noticed my latest blog on Kansas barite roses? If you want to chat off line about these or others just send me an email. Again thanks for reading---I presume you do not live in the US? Each weighed about thirty pounds and were perfect in their formation, as if they were molded. These were amazing to behold. I have no idea whether there are samples like that found in the U.S . I sure would like to see images of such samples.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1580629844893014592.post-27697044938218729862013-02-22T07:40:06.591-07:002013-02-22T07:40:06.591-07:00Thanks, Mike!
